St. Michael’s Youth Conference is an exciting opportunity to make friends, know God more deeply, and enjoy a fun-filled week. Teens aged 13–19 are invited to join a team of clergy and lay adult leaders for a week of worship, classes and recreational activities.

Mornings are spent exploring the faith through classes about prayer, the Bible, and Christian theology.

Afternoons are devoted to recreation (on outings or at the camp) such as canoeing, swimming, volleyball, archery, ping-pong, and hiking.

Evenings are more relaxed, with a line-up of entertainment, discussions, games, and just hanging out.

Worship, just as food strengthens the body, gives life to our souls. Days at St. Michael’s Youth Conference are framed by prayer according to the Anglican tradition: Morning and Evening Prayer (or Compline), and a closing Eucharist on the last morning.

The Conference is held at New Life Camp, near the town of Durham, in Grey  County, Ontario. The camp has a well-appointed main lodge with separate, supervised dorms for boys and girls, each with their own facilities. The camp has its own hilltop chapel, is surrounded by 750 acres of mature forest, and features a sports field, spring-fed pond, canoes and a variety of indoor and outdoor sports equipment.

"Now war arose in heaven, Michael and his angels fighting against the dragon.  And the dragon and his angels fought back, but he was defeated and there was no longer any place for them in heaven.  And the great dragon was thrown down, that ancient serpent, who is called the devil and Satan, the deceiver of the whole world--he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him.  'Therefore, rejoice, O heavens and you who dwell in them! But woe to you, O earth and sea, for the devil has come down to you in great wrath, because he knows that his time is short!'"

(Revelation 12:7-9,12)

O EVERLASTING God, who hast ordained and constituted the services of Angels and men in a wonderful order: Mercifully grant that, as thy holy Angels alway do thee service in heaven, so by thy appointment they may succour and defend us on earth; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

(Book of Common Prayer)
